Front Range Power Company, LLC

Front Range Power Company, LLC is a joint venture between Colorado Springs Utilities and Mesquite Colorado Holdeo, LLC, an El Paso Corporation subsidiary and was formed for the purpose of developing, financing and operating a 480 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle facility.

The facility is located 17 miles south of Colorado Springs on a site adjacent to Colorado Springs Utilities' 207 MW Nixon Station, and connects to the WAPA Midway substation. Through the Midway substation, the facility is interconnected with the Public Service Company of Colorado and WAPA transmission systems.

Construction of the facility is in the advanced stages and will reach commercial operation in the spring of 2003.
